These days 53-year-old Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the man the West loves to hate, is in the thick of things. He is blamed, perhaps rightly or wrongly, for almost everything that has gone wrong with Iran to such an extent that even local newspapers and politicos are lining-up to lambast his leadership and economic policies. Worst still, he too is blamed for everything from shortage of dialysis machines in some clinics to increasing inflation and swashbuckling speeches.
