Talk about timing!

Tomorrow is "National Fast Food Day," according to a tweet by McDonald's.

And later this week is World Toilet Day.

It makes sense for these days to share a week because you can't have cheap, greasy burgers without a toilet nearby.

Snark aside, World Toilet Day seems legit because lots of people around the world don't have access to the basic types of sanitation we take for granted in America.

"National Fast Food Day" is absurd, however. One-third of U.S. adults are obese, according to the Center for Disease Control. The last thing we need is a day to celebrate junk food. That's probably why there is no central website about the day or even a mention of it on the corporate page of McDonald's.
