An amazing play by University of Maine quarterback Chris Treister is gaining recognition across the nation.

In overtime against James Madison on October 8, the Black Bears scored a touchdown and needed to either kick a field goal to tie or make the two point conversion. Maine opted to go for the win and their bet payed off in a dramatic fashion. Treister made an incredible lunge into the end zone to lead the Black Bears to a 24-24 victory.

Check out the clip here of Treister hussling through multiple defenders and then bouncing off the other team--right into the promised land.

The amazing run was recently recognized as #2 on ESPN's Top-10 Plays.

Now it has been nominated for the GEICO College Football Play of the Year. To support UMaine and Treister's heroics, cast your vote on the GEICO Facebook page.
