Pats Soar, Sox Slide

Sunday was a big day in New England sports.

The Patriots (2-0) stayed on fire, handling the San Diego Chargers at home 35-21 behind Tom Brady's 31-for-40, 423-yard, three-touchdown game. Amazingly, that didn't top his unreal output from last week in Miami, where he threw for 517 passing yards with four touchdowns. Brady's season start has set an NFL record of 940 passing yards over two games.

It's too bad the Red Sox didn't match the Pats' intensity.

Up at Fenway, Tampa Bay took the third of four games on Sunday, winning 8-5. The Rays are now just two games back for the AL Wild Card thanks to the Red Sox horrible September (the worst record this month in the Majors!). The Red Sox have ten games left in the regular season. If they don't start winning, these could be the last this year.
