Patriots First Home Game Against the Chargers
The New England Patriots look to add another victory to their early season tally as they kick off against the San Diego Chargers at 4:15pm ET at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
In Week 1, the Pats beat the Dolphins in Miami in an epic shoot-out that saw Brady post a franchise record 517 yards in the air. The Chargers defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24-17 last week behind a solid outing for QB Phillip Rivers, who completed 33-of-48 passes and threw for 335 yards. Rivers threw two touthdowns. But also threw two picks, a stat Belicheck and the Patriots secondary surely hope happens again this afternoon.
In other Patriots news, team legends such as Troy Brown, Tedy Bruschi, Todd Rucci, and Patriots Hall of Famers Steve Nelson, Andre Tippett, Steve Grogan, and Gino Capelletti were on hand to celebrate the induction of Drew Bledsoe and Jon Morris into the team's 2011 Hall of Fame.
