Obama Bows Down to Turkey, Fails to Recognize the Armenian Genocide
President Obama acknowledges that the planned murder of almost two million Armenians between 1915-1923 was in fact a genocide. He even explicitly pledged on the campaign trail "As President, I will recognize the Armenian Genocide."
But on Genocide Remembrance Day, Obama bowed down to Turkey, which still denies the genocide, calling it "one of the great atrocities of the 20th century" instead of mustering the courage to use the word "genocide."
