Los Angeles City Worker Salaries Now Online
Los Angeles has put its city worker salaries online for the public to see. The City is responding to citizen concerns about the salaries of municipal employees in California, ever since it was discovered that a city manager in Bell was making over 800,000 a year.
As of today, the posted data includes approved annual salaries for full-time City employees. According to the Office of the Controller, the database will be updated soon to reflect actual compensation by factoring in reduced pay due to voluntary salary waiver, furlough, increased pay for overtime work etc.
The database is located at the following URL: http://controller.lacity.org/ssLINK/LACITYP_011220.
Perhaps due to high demand, the site is not loading quickly as of Friday afternoon.
