Maine Congressman Mike Michaud has applauded the announcement from BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg that the company will halt its planned $10 billion dividend payout until the Gulf oil spill disaster is under control.
“I am pleased that BP suspended these payments and agreed to the creation of an escrow account.
