State Senator Libby Mitchell of Vassalboro formally joined the race for governor as well as Eriq Manson of Old Orchard Beach and J Martin Vachon of Mariaville. In addition, two legislative leaders (Josh Tardy and Kevin Raye) as well as Department of Conservation Commissioner Pat McGowan are said to be considering the race, bringing the list of declared and rumored candidates to 23!
