Momentum is gathering around the country for guaranteed paid sick days legislation to protect the health of workers and businesses and to stop the spread of disease.
By a vote of 88-58, Connecticut members of the House of Representatives approved compromise legislation which will guarantee up to five paid sick days. Connecticut joins the District of Columbia, San Francisco, CA, and Milwaukee, WI, in requiring paid sick days.
Legislation has also been introduced in the U.S. House and Senate. More than 100 original co-sponsors, including Congressman Mike Michaud and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, have endorsed the legislation.....
