Maine Court's Ruling Allows Wind Project to Proceed
The Maine Supreme Court has issued a ruling today which upholds that the Friends of Lincoln Lakes, a citizen's group opposed to a proposed $130 million Rollins Mountain wind project, did not have the legal right to appeal the project’s permit with the Town of Lincoln.
Lincoln officials had decided against allowing the group's complaints to proceed because the group was not properly established as a legal entity. The Maine Supreme Court agreed, writing in its ruling that the Friends of Lincoln Lakes "failed to show a particularized injury because it identified no members who would be affected by the project in any way."
