Maine Conference on Harnessing Ocean Energy
Over 400 renewable energy advocates, technologists, venture capitalists, academics and policy makers from around the world are all attending the 2009 EnergyOcean Conference this week in Rockport, Maine. The event was established to discuss the potential of extracting energy from the ocean.
Today's events are focusing on whether marine renewable energy is economically viable. Panel topics include "Financing Strategies for Ocean Energy Pilot Projects" and "How to Build Tax Subsidies into Renewable Energy Projects."
