Maine Lobstermen Propose Boat Tie-Up to Raise Prices

Lobstermen in Washington County are trying to fight low prices by proposing a statewide boat tie-up. They met over the weekend to discuss the plan, according to WCSH6.
Prices currently stand at $2.35 per pound, but the organizers think a reduction in supply could bring prices up to $3.50 per pound.
"I'm sure some guys are living paycheck to paycheck, but they're willing to make some sacrifice because there really isn't much future for them," Dwight Carver told the news station.
