Pirates to Host High School Champs
The Portland Pirates have announced that the team will host a "Night of Champions" on Saturday, December 18th to recognize Maine's high school athletes. Members of Maine's championship winning teams will receive complimentary tickets to the night's game against the Manchester Monarchs.
The winning team captains from the 2010 fall season will also get to help drop the ceremonial puck at center ice before the hockey game.
The Portland Pirates cruised to a 5-1 away win over the Providence Bruins behind Maxime Legault's two scores last night. The team will take on the Adirondack Phantoms in Glens Falls, New York tonight.
