Kurt Perham of Brunswick and Catherine Sterling of Kents Hill represented their home state well by winning in their respective divisions during the Zone Urban Epic Triathlon in Portland on Saturday.
Despite rain and a little thunder, three hundred and thirty athletes participated in the race from the waters off Portland's East End Beach to the pathways around Baxter Boulevard. The race ended at the Maine State Pier where a festival greeted the athletes.
