On April 3, 2010, Mainers took to the streets of Portland to peacefully protest society's "double standard" of nudity. In Maine, despite customs to the contrary, it's perfectly legal for both men and women to go topless in public.
However, Ty McDowell, the march's organizer, was reportedly "enraged," according to the Portland Press Herald, that men also participated in the march across downtown.
