In light of the spate of controversies in which the Roman Catholic Church found Herself embroiled (and very much still is) during my three month absence, I have decided, over the next few weeks, to employ my column space to the presentation of the fundamentals of Roman Catholicism. However loathe I am to play amateur ecclesiologist, being, as it were, a rare soul who is actually conversant with that arcane farrago of dogmas, doctrines, and canons which largely constitutes, ‘the Faith,’ this is most useful contribution that I can make to debates in which everything else that ought to have been said has been (and rather eloquently, too).....
