Mainers Casting Off a Beloved Anchorman and Former Maine Coast Sailor

This past weekend, the nation mourned the loss of Walter Cronkite, the "most trusted man in America." Recently, in The Boston Globe, some Mainers spoke of their friendships with Cronkite.
Sandor Polster of Durham worked with Cronkite at CBS News starting in 1973. He told the Bangor Daily News that Cronkite "was without parallel."
