Scott Wasser, managing editor and vice president for news at Richard Connor’s Times Leader newspaper of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania has been named executive editor of the Portland Press Herald, Maine Sunday Telegram, Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel, according to Maine media critic Al Diamon, who cited "sources" at the Portland Press Herald.
Diamon also reported that Press Herald spokespeople haven't returned phone calls to confirm the appointment.
