Los Angeles City Council Votes to Complete Google Apps Switch

All 30,000 Los Angeles city workers will continue the switch to Google's suite of cloud-powered applications. According to Google, the Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously to complete the city's switch on Wednesday.
The transition was supposed to have been completed by the end of June, but security concerns by the police department have caused delays.
Around 10,000 workers are already using Google Apps for common office functions like email.
